This new way to treat juvenile drug offenses in Medina County began in 2004. DC combines substance abuse and mental health treatment, court supervision, case management, and community support to rehabilitate young offenders.
Family Resource Court (FRC)
FRC targets young juveniles who are truant or commit status offenses. The FRC implements intensive probation and case management in effort to identify family concerns, needs and mental health issues.
EAP is an emerging field in which horses are used as a tool for emotional growth and learning. EAP is a collaborative effort between a licensed mental health therapist and a horse professional.
Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST)
MST is a family, home-based treatment that tries to change how youth function in their natural settings. Natural settings include home, school and neighborhood. A clinician operates in the home to promote positive social behavior while decreasing antisocial behavior.
