The Honorable Kevin W. Dunn became Medina County's Probate and Juvenile Judge on August 1, 2013. Governor John Kasich appointed Judge Dunn to complete the unexpired term of Judge John Lohn, who retired earlier this year. Judge Dunn took his oath of office on August 2 and had his first full day on the job on Monday August 5.
Judge Dunn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Miami University in Oxford, and earned his Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron School of Law. Since 2012, he has served as a prosecutor for the City of Medina. He has held a private practice for 22 years.
Judge Dunn has been involved with the Medina Rotary, the Medina Area Chamber of Commerce, the Medina County Law Library and the Medina County Red Cross, among various other community organizations. He also served as the president of the Medina County Estate Planning Council from 1996 to 1998.
Judge Dunn and his wife Lisa have two teenage daughters, Emily and Megan. They live in Westfield Center and are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wadsworth.
